rock steady
Inside Nonantum Boxing Club, fighters step into the ring—for the biggest fight of their life. Rock Steady follows a group of Parkinson’s patients who, despite a disease that erodes control, refuse to surrender. Led by Rafi, a former Golden Gloves champion, and Peter, an 80-year-old assistant coach confronting his own mortality, they transform their fight into an act of defiance, connection, and hope.
At the heart is Ken, a civil rights advocate and educator facing his toughest battle yet. Instead of retreating, he fights—finding purpose in movement, community, and resilience. The film explores the stark contrast between youth and age, strength and fragility, and how a disease that takes so much can also inspire. These boxers refuse to go down without a fight—raising their gloves to the very end.
